My first idea came after seeing this fabric sample. I took the idea of patchwork and created a graphic aerial farm view (in blue). Then I decided that creating a graphic pattern that contained the whole continent of Africa was the best way to go (black and white). I then expanded the area outside of the continent, and applied color to the area that represents Sub-Saharan Africa giving lots of the room for the long title (image at far right).
